We are on Day 6 of our egg incubation. I am having a hard time candling anything but the blue eggs right now. It's still early but this evening I will be using a brighter light. I'm suspicious that a few of the eggs are blanks, but it's not quite time to make that call yet.
I'm having to add water to the wells daily right now to keep the humidity in the 40-50% range. It's really cold and windy here right now, which means its very dry also, so I'm not surprised that the water in the incubator is evaporating a little quicker. I'm adding a 60cc syringe full of water to each well, usually in the evenings when I am candling since I have the lid off anyway.
On Day 6:
- The beak starts to form
- Wings are big enough to start bending at the elbow
- Ribs begin to appear
- Intestines are growing
