Egg Hatching 101: Day 14

We are on Day 14 in our incubator... one more week to go! Hopefully in seven days we will start seeing some hatching action!

We'll be using this week to get our brooder dusted off, sanitized, into its place where it will hold the chicks for the next 6-8 weeks until they are feathered and ready to go outside.

One Day 14:

  • Bones in the chick are starting to ossify (harden), including the skull.
  • The chick is beginning to shift around in the egg to face the wider end
