We are on Day 10... almost halfway there! The image above shows the difference that just five days makes. Chicks grow quickly. This evening we will most likely remove a few eggs from the incubator due to non-development. We currently have 13 in there, so tomorrow the load may be a little lighter. This is completely normal, and whenever you incubate eggs, you should expect to have some that aren't going to hatch for a variety of reasons.
On Day 10:
- Claws are forming
- The comb has appeared
- Flight feathers (on wings) and chest feathers are developing
- Lower eyelids are developing
- Beak begins to harden
