Summer heat & storms

Summer evening storms are normal here, however lately it seems those innocent heat-induced rain showers have been pumped up and quite angry. For the last several weeks we have endured nasty, windy, harsh storms nearly every evening it seems.

Some have been worse than others, but we've still in the process lost all of our squash plants and corn due to extreme wind, and keeping up with the weeding in the gardens has become pretty much impossible.

I guess we can only complain so much. While the extra rain means we have to work around it, we've also dealt with drought conditions in recent years. I'll take the rain... the droughts are much tougher it seems to deal with. At least our pastures are green with grass.

  1. The storms can be so beautiful! I love watching a good summer storm brew everything up. I just don't like fixing the aftermath of a huge storm. Just about every year I have to hire lumber toronto to pick trees out of my yard!

I have a virtual open door policy for thoughts and suggestions, and I'd love to hear what you have to say!
