Our Canna Lilies are in full bloom right now, spiking our farm with tall bright red flowers. These Canna Lilies were here when we moved in eight years ago, and since no one lived here for 25 years before that, I'm guessing they aren't a recent addition to the farm.
I've come to the conclusion that these things are pretty indestructible once they are established. We've mowed over them several times (after they bloom), and we've dug hundreds up to transplant and/or give to friends. They just keep on blooming every summer. Oh, and they multiply like a plant version of rabbits.
