It's time to un-Christmas the house. A little earlier than most years, but our tree is dangerously dry and no longer safe to keep lit and The Boy is taking it out of the house tonight. We usually keep it up for a couple weeks after New Years (yeah, we're thosepeople) however, seeing as I felt rushed going into the holidays, I guess it's only fitting that we bring it to an end early too.
Like most people these days, my head has been swarming with ideas and wants and dreams and desires for the New Year during the last few weeks. Somehow, though, I keep forgetting that the New Year starts this weekend. Like Thanksgiving and Christmas, I guess I've felt rushed into it as well. Oh well, such is life.
There are definite things I would like to accomplish in the coming year, but instead of locking myself into resolutions that I may or may not keep past February, I am wrapping my 2011 with a theme... ME. I admit that includes a lot, but it all revolves around fine tuning my life into what I want it to be: simple but full. I want to focus more on the important things, whatever I decide they are, and chip away all of the bulk that serves no positive purpose. I did a lot of discovering with this in 2010 and I am happy with the results, so I'm going to take the ball and run with it in 2011.
What is your theme for 2011?
